Props 3D Aliens Ithica 37
The Ithica 37 is the only successful commercial shotgun where the loading port is also the ejection port giving the gun and interesting look. The Ithica model used in Aliens had the rear grip and stick of a German MP40, giving it the district ‘hole’ in the back. We have replicated every detail of the original prop used by Hicks in Aliens using screen used references as well as reference Ithica shotgun. This model is a very easy glue together build, only requiring 5 optional screws to complete the look. It features a working pump for an authentic feel.

Steps
1. Install the Trigger

- 2 8mm Pieces of Filament
- Glue
- Insert the 8mm pins into the hole in the trigger
- Place the trigger in the receiver so the pins go into the holes. Use a bit of glue to hold it in place
2. Join the Receiver

- 5 19mm Pieces of Filament
- Glue
- Cover the left side of the receiver in glue, I would recommend a 2 part epoxy with a slow set time. Brush or use a scraper to get the coat thin
- Insert the 19mm pins in the left side of the receiver
- Insert the 12mm pieces in the two grip holes
- Clamp the two halves together until the glue is set
3. Right Side Wood Parts

- Screw the wood panel on with the 16mm screw
- Screw the grip on with the 12mm screw

5. Stock Ring

- Glue
- Glue the ring in place in the orientation shown, the two tabs sit flush with the ring, don’t get the orientation wrong so the tabs go IN the ring or it will sit too low
6. Barrel Front

- Glue the front site on
- Screw the 8mm screw in, it’s just for show
7 Barrel Assembly

- Glue
- Place glue on the rear barrel protrusions and the flat space around the protrusion.
- Place the pump on the front barrel all the way forward
- Slide the rear barrel into the front, make sure there’s a lot of glue contact and wipe any excess
- Do not let any glue get on the pump, I use painters tape to keep it from contacting
8 Barrel to Frame

- Put plenty of glue area the barrel recesses of the frame
- Insert the action bar into the pump as shown, use a drop of glue in the hole to hold it in place
- Slide the barrel and action bar into the frame, do NOT glue the action bar so the pump can move.
